Head of Operations / In House Counsel

We are looking for someone to be our Head of Operations / In House Counsel. We negotiate complex IP agreements with healthcare organizations in the United States and Japan. We then license data to US labs.

You would be responsible for managing contract review and negotiations for both sides, including translating documents between Japanese and English.

You would also be responsible for reviewing and maintaining our data compliance regime, interacting with outside counsel, and working closely with the engineering team to ensure compliance.

Lastly, you would act as an operations generalist, handling finance, compliance, and other operational tasks as they arise.

We are a small team, looking for a founding team member to build a core part of the company.

Requirements

• US law degree
• Fluency in Japanese
• Familiarity with Japanese business culture
• Prior experience in or excitement about the healthcare industry
• Hustle
• Must be able to work in the US and travel regularly to San Francisco and Tokyo
